Change Your Password

I have added a screen to change your password. As the system generates numeric passwords, it makes sense to add a password change feature. I would say at this point I am pretty much done with User/Security features for the time being

Next Feature Is...

The next feature I'd like to add is the ability to customize your car maintenance schedule. I was planning on getting and entering all the manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules, but there are soooo many makes and models... So, I toss this one back to the users, enter your own schedules. I will still provide default schedules which will serve as starting points for customization. Again, I have no idea when this will be ready. Within the month I hope.

CarCareCalendar is Live!

Well, I finally decided to make the CarCareCalendar application live. It is still missing a large number of vehicle makes and models however. I will most likely add some 'Unlisted' selections to the model dropdown, which will list all possible years in the system. So you could have something like Ford - Unlisted - 1991, as your vehicle type.

    The coming soon list includes,
  • Ability to change your password

  • Choose to have your password sent to your email if you've forgotten it.

  • Stability and Performance improvements

The application has some value in it's current stage, I hope it is useful to you.

The Blog for the Site

The Car Care Calendar is coming soon* (maybe in a year or so). I keep redesigning the screens and refactoring the code (it seems soooo important to do everything 'right', the great is the enemy of the good and all that.).

Honestly though, every night I add a test or a class or change a screen.

I think this app could be the beginning of many* similar apps (I can't even get this one off the ground). This blog will serve as my notepad for features and feedback. I hope it actually becomes useful. If anything, it will help me keep up momentum which is what its all about anyway.
